Fuzzy concept combination: An empirical study

Fuzzy set theory has been criticized for building on an ill-understood notion, viz., that of graded membership. To address this concern, recent work proposed operational definition which experimental studies have subsequently shown to make accurate predictions regarding people's judgments degrees It is still open question whether analogous positive results can be obtained more complex fuzzy concepts, instance, concepts modeled as intersections sets. The present paper makes a beginning with answering question. reports study derived membership conjunctive concept from the outcomes aforementioned and then compared these predicted judged by participants. Degrees were using all better-known intersection operators, thus also shed new light empirical adequacy those operators.
